About Chuck

Chuck is the father of two young children (Charlotte, four, and Luke, two and a half).  In addition to ‘Dad’s Mac & Cheese,’ he serves as a blogger and advisory board member for MassMoms.com, a parenting website that is a product of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette (a New York Times Co. newspaper based in Worcester, MA.)  Professionally, Chuck provides writing and editing services to high schools, non-profits, and related businesses through his company, Chuck Putney Producktions.  He and his wife have established a schedule in which they each work part-time, alternating days at work and days with the kids.  

 

Chuck was raised in southern New Hampshire and graduated with a degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA), where he was a resident assistant; president of the Crusader Marching Band, Pep Band & Color Guard; and a member of Phi Sigma Tau, the International Honor Society in Philosophy.  Chuck has worked in educational publishing, high school education, and fundraising/advancement.  He and his family live in Paxton, Massachusetts, a small community of under 5,000 residents located in central Massachusetts, just north of Worcester.  Chuck serves on the town’s Cable/Communications Committee and Recreation Commission, in addition to playing on the over-30 basketball team.
